I bought this to cut my tall hedges. It does allow you to cut the top of the hedge without getting on a ladder; however since my hedge is deeper than the blade I still need to use a ladder. It also is good for trimming thin tree branches.PROs: Don't need an extension cord; Cuts very smooth; Battery lasts a long time (have not encountered it running out of battery in the middle of use); Extends and are able to reach tall branches; Pivoting head allows for great angles to get a straight cut. Also can turn the head so it's more comfortable when trimming.CONs: It's a little heavy (although lighter than others on the market); In order to balance the trimmer and hold the "on" switch it is a bit awkward. Would be better if the stationery pole was a little shorter and the extension part longer. I have long arms and still have a hard time. Also have had to tighten the lock plates on pole with allen wrench to keep extension piece in place. All in all I'm happy with the trimmer. Just wish you could get a shorter pole to make it more comfortable to use.

It’s well made and fits together perfectly. It cuts good and adjusts quite easily. I thought I would be able to use it without the extended length, like a regular hedge clipper. I found it to be quite heavy when using it at full length. My arms were quite tired for sure after using it at full extension. I guess I’ll have to keep using the old one as well as the new one. It sure did make it easier because I didn’t have to use a ladder to reach the high bushes. The battery lasted through the whole job. I was trimming large bushes with it not hedges. They about 11 feet tall and 12 feet in diameter. I would give it a rating of 9 out of 10. I’m happy with the purchase.

Just finished shearing a huge (12-15' tall) Canadian hemlock hedge with this trimmer, and it worked great! Head tilts up and down, and shaft rotates to get sides. Battery was adequate, and includes a little tester button to see remaining charge (a feature not usually found on the cheaper batteries). It was about half full after a good hour of trimming (not constant running; hour of total work time). You can get about 3/8" thick branches with this, similar to other hedge trimmers. The handle is plenty long. Two things that would make this unit even better: lighter weight (it's pretty heavy) and the ability to use the trimmer head as a detachable trimmer on its own. It's silly that I have to buy another whole trimmer to have a handheld one when there's one RIGHT HERE - it just doesn't have a way to connect it to the battery and trigger without the giant stick in between.

First and most importantly, this is a power tool that cuts. So you MUST be careful. One moment of overconfidence, carelessness, or lack of focus and you can get cut and hurt. Nobody wants that so be cautious and if someone young in your household is using this…just don’t do it. Or supervise diligently.I found the WORX hedge trimmer to be very useful. I appreciate the way I can easily change the length of the pole, trimmer angles, and the position of the handle so that no matter what I need to cut, I can get to it comfortably. Great design. You have to be cautious when cutting bushes near window screens or you can damage the screen (I felt really stupid when I did that. Both times.)The WORX battery charged quickly and stayed charged for quite a bit of time. In fact, it never ran out of charge for the couple of hours I was using it and is still has at least half a charge. Some people have commented on the weight of this trimmer. Well…it’s essentially a power tool at the end of a stick. The longer you make the pole, the heavier it will seem. It would be the same if you taped a lunch box to the end of a long stick. It’s just physics. For me, I wear a weight-lifting belt for greater lower back support when extending the pole all the way.If you’ve got bushes that are high up or hard to get to, this extendable trimmer is ideal. The alternative is using a ladder and moving it all over on sometimes uneven surfaces, which is not always feasible, or hiring someone, which will cost most than this tool every time you need to trim.I highly recommend the WORX hedge trimmer. It did exactly what I needed it to, was easy to use, held a charge, and stores in a small space. Rechargeable tools like this are wonderful. I would buy this brand again.

Just got this last week and today was the 1st day to try it.. We have high bushes that need a long reach.Decided on Worx because I have the edger which I am truly pleased with. The good: Full extension came out to 8', which helped a lot. The option of changing the blade angles also helped a lot. I like that its battery operated - Cut too many cords in the past. The bad: The 20 volt 2 amp battery doesn't seem to have enough power to cut the thicker branches. Had to get out my electric trimmer. (Cord again, yuk!) The battery itself lasted Ok. I also used my trimmer batteries. Same type. The hand grip ripped apart after an hour. Didn't last long if it rubs against other branches. It is something that is needed, since the poles get hot from the sun.The weight - It is heavy, especially at full extension. I don't think my wife could do it. Not sure what can be done about this.Wish I could be more positive about it. We only cut the bushes twice a year, so we'll keep it and deal with the negatives. I will make another hand grip for it.

Wel tevreden over het toestel op zich maar ontgoocheld over de prijs wanneer ik merk dat Aldi een gelijkaardig toestel aanbied voor de HELFT van de prijs!!!

This cordless trimmer works very well for trimming small brush or grass. I tried it first for trimming tall grass around some trees and it cleaned up ok. The only thing I didn't like is if the grass is too thick, it tends to twist in your hands as there is no grip to keep it from twisting. Cleaning up or to square up sides of brush works very well. The weight is a little awkward, other than that, I'm pleased with how it works.

Muy práctico, algo pesado, pero trabaja muy bien, cortes limpios y muy silenciosa en comparación de otras marcas.

The trimmer works well, but I wish the cutting blades were slightly larger. As a senior in my mid-70s, I found it a bit heavy even though I'm pretty fit. I accomplished what I set out to do even though I let the bushes in question get higher and bushier than I should have. The price is reasonable and the trimmer should be fine if you intend to maintain a bush height of approx 5-6 feet. Also, the battery aspect permits me to go to trim at the back of our acreage. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose.
