Perfect Fit Exact Replacement.. Saved $ 80 Dollars. Been using for 3 Months.. No PROBLEMS I installed it in a few Minuets.. Mine Would not Open the Lid by Pulling the Manual Opener in the Truck.. Tip on Opening Gas LId.. Forget the Credit Card.. Trick.. Get a Small Plastic Hammer and Tap / Hit Where the Hinge is .. That will pop open the Lid.. Quicker than Getting Frustrated at using the Credit Card..

Bought this for my 2015 Optima EX. On this model there's only two screws holding the actuator to the body. You'll need a small prybar to pop the gas door. Be sure to take precautions to protect the paint between the fender and the door. Take of picture of the existing latch at the gas door opening before you remove it. The two screws and retainer require a specific orientation when you do the installation. It's also helpful if you have a trim removal tool to remove the two plastic retainer clips on the left inside trunk. You only need a 10 millimeter small socket for the actuator retainer screws. If you're handy, this entire operation should be easily accomplished in under 20 minutes. There are YouTube videos describing the operation on other Hyundai/Kia models. Some are more complicated than others.

I bought this product because the dealership wanted to charge $189 for the item and $250 to install. Are you kidding me? Save my 3x the cost and 100% of the installation. Easy to install (for the most part provided you have the right size socket wrench). My only gripe is that this product DOES NOT come with the top plastic notch piece and two screws. Lucky for me the dealer removed the cartridge and left the screws attached. This product really should come with the top plastic notch piece (holds the screws tight against the outside metal bracket near the gas cap). Just saying.
