Fits my 2019 Ford Edge. Direct replacement. Installed relatively quickly. Works as it should... For now. Will update after a month or two. That appears to be when people run into issues.

The lift gate on my 2018 Ford Edge would work sometimes but often would not open. I checked with the local Ford dealership and they would require that I leave the car there for two days. I found videos on Utube that showed how to replace the latch. I decided to take a chance and replace the latch, hoping that was the problem. I figured that even if the latch did not fix my problem, sooner or later the latch would probably fail anyway. After replacing the latch, the lift gate has worked flawlessly. Because I just replaced the latch a few days ago, I cannot speak regarding durability of the latch.Update: the lift gate has worked well for 2 months now.

Easy to install but dolidnt even last a month. Don't have the option to get refund or exchange for new one. Spend the extra money and get different brand

Latch has set up for two different models, just plug into Jack that fits harness. Easy to do and works like a champ. Hatch open when I want it to, not when it feels like it.

My mechanic said I should gotten the part from Ford. Its not an exact fit and does not work.
