This product does not work! I do not recommend buying this product as it will not work and is a waste of money! Unfortunately it's past my return date otherwise I would return it and if I had the ability to give it less than one star that's what it would receive

As my fiance' and I get ready to buy an apartment complex from a company that highly recommended these we realized that we had to get on the ball fast and learn how to operate these card readers and writers. This one isn't that complicated just didn't come with all the keys so its quite interesting to teach ourselves how to use it. I plan on buying another one that is almost like this so I can pick which one is a better fit for what we are preparing to do. This one has all the buttons for the scan in and reads some of the newer ones, but as for the ones that we received for the building it won't read them. So I guess either it doesn't like them or it needs an upgrade. If your looking for a scanner tool make sure you check the scan key first to make sure you buy the right one first. But this was a great learning tool. Thanks

I held out much hope for this NFC RFID Card Copier Reader Writer Duplicator because every other one that I have tried failed. Alas this one was not able to read my dock gate key cards. I connected this device to my PC and loaded their software that is supposed to be able to decrypt encrypted cards but that didn't work either - same result - unable to read the key card. This device will only ready the most basic of RFID keys. I did scan some old HID keycards from my office building successfully but I know that they are really old tech and simple key cards. I don't know what is so special about my dock gate keys but I tried 2 different keys from two different locations that have different gates and neither key would read. A commercial key card duplicator had no problem reading the dock gate keys and duplicating them so I know that they can be duplicated. Just wish I could have my own duplicator to do it rather than paying $30+ for each key on a commercial duplicator and having to wait 3-5 days to get a key fob.

It works well as described. Most cards, even simple ones, have encryption that requires the device to connect to a computer. The process becomes pretty tedious but it eventually gets the job done.Comes with a lot of programmable tags. That's a plus. The interface is very simple as well.

it copies some, but not all data sectors on my fob. it only operates two out of five devices in my building; my front door, the building main door, but not side door, or elevator, or stairwell access.
