June 10, 2022 Update: Tape is still holding after more than 5 years and this is with a walker going over it a dozen or more times each day! Should I be embarrassed that I have not tried to pull it up and deep clean under it? Because I am not there yet... Stand by... May 4, 2021 still holding throughout the COVID quarantining-- with a 2.5-year-old dog, too! July 26, 2020. Still holding in place. April 6, 2019 Update. Still holds as it did the first day. Jan 14, 2018: 8 months into the tape application and it is holding fast in the highest-use area of the house. Sept 13, 2017 update: Three and a half months and it is holding firm. This tape is so great, I am looking for other loose carpets or other uses.Original review: The sliding carpet problem is over. After YEARS of this bit of a carpet sliding all over, it now stays in place. (Note the frayed edges where the carpets meet. I wonder if there would have been no fraying there, if this carpet tape had been used 40 years ago?) I cut two inches off and affixed to each corner and placed the fringe and edge of the little carpet under the established carpet, and pressed the tape into the wooden floor with my foot. Done. Easy. Still working perfectly after 2 weeks. My kitchen scissors were sharp enough for cutting through the tape. (My scissors edges were worn/dulled, so I had to sharpen my scissors by cutting several strips of some folded-over aluminum foil.) All is well. I'll report back after some months to confirm how well it is still working.

Exactly what we needed and easy to use to affix carpet stair treads to steps. It's been over 9 months and no slippage yet. I used sharp scissors instead of razor knife as razor knife kept gumming up. I put four strips on each stair tread and I still have leftover on first roll! Great stuff, great price!!

I have been looking for MONTHS for a product to secure area rugs (an 8x12 runner and a 5x8 area rug) to a carpet and I bought this product as a kind of a last resort. It works. It's easy to use, has strong adhesion and is easy to move/remove. And, it's reasonably priced. So why the 4 star rating? The tape really does a 5-star job. The 4 star rating is just a warning to potential buyer that there is probably nothing out there that is removable that will be 100% effective at keeping area rugs secured to carpets, but this tape is about as close to 100% as you're going to get without tacking down or otherwise damaging the carpet. Great product at a great price.

I HAD this ongoing problem with an area rug bunching up under a heavy table that was on wall to wall carpet. I tried everything to solve this annoying problem. I saw on Amazon XFasten double sided carpet tape, I read the description and thought it might be the answer to my problem. Well, even though it was under $15.00 and not a huge investment if it didn't work, I thought I would try to reach out to the company for answers to a few questions. Unbelievable as this might sound I got a respond in one day with the answer to all my questions and a wonderful note on the history of this family owned company and how they pride themselves of selling a good product..... Days later I got another email asking me what I thought, they wanted my opinion. Well, I did everything just as they told me on their instructions and it came out perfect and controlled the bunching issue. The tape was so easy to use, the backing of the double sided tape peeled off so easily. This is a quality product. I am an opinionated women, so if anyone wants my opinion I love to give it. This company is so caring, and they actually tested their product before they sold it and works as it is advertised....When does this happen in the day in age. FIVE STARS for product and the company

This tape is easy to install - just cut it with a utility knife, stick on and then remove the paper to expose the adhesive on the other side. This tape sticks to most surfaces however I have one rug that it does not adhere to. This rug is not substantially different from other rugs so I'm not sure if there is a chemical on it or what the issue is. Otherwise, once it is stuck, it will stay put. This tape is advertised to leave no residue when removed but that is not exactly true. The tape can leave a sticky residue especially on rough surfaces, whether it be laminate or hardwood. If you run into that problem, use a hair dryer to heat the tape and then a plastic putty knife to scrape the adhesive off. On rougher floor surfaces like scraped laminate or hardwoods, you may need another product. I had good luck with Goo Gone to remove all of the adhesive but be sure to test it first as it could discolor or stain the surface.Overall, it is a decent product that is easy to install but it can leave behind a sticky residue.

Does what it says! This tape is excellent if you have a runner or small carpet and need to secure it on top of another carpet. Great product, but you might want to buy more than one roll because they don't give you a lot. They need to give more tape on the rolls. Other than that, I recommend this product!

[update as of 11/20/24, 1 star] Don't buy this tape to fasten runners, area rugs or mats to a carpet unless the bottom carpet is very very low pile. It destroyed my relatively low pile carpet beneath the tape after just a couple months of use. Not beneath where the chair rolled, but at the edges of the mat.Use at your own risk. There's zero chance this seller will reimburse for carpet damage.[old review, 3 stars] My plan was to use this to bond an officer chair mat to a carpet. It's a bit tricky to cut cleanly, but it's otherwise very easy to install. The challenge is the poor adhesion at corners. Along the straight edges of the mat, everything seems to be held in place nicely. But at the corners it cannot seem to keep them flat. The mat corners pull away just enough to get caught on the office chair as it rolls on and off the pad. This quickly became annoying. I tried cleaning the carpet more to "prep" it for better adhesion. I tried repeating the process with fresh tape. Nothing improved adhesion at the corners.

I have two large area rugs in my living room and kitchen that always slide and curl up at the corners, creating a tripping hazard and an eyesore. I have tried various rug pads and grippers, but none of them worked well or lasted long. I was about to give up and get rid of the rugs, until I found this tape. This tape is amazing! It is very easy to apply, just cut the desired length, peel off the backing, and stick it to the rug and the floor. It holds the rugs firmly in place, no more sliding or curling. It works on both hardwood and tile floors, and it does not leave any residue or damage. It is also weather-resistant, so I can use it for my outdoor rugs as well. It is a great value for the money, as one roll is enough for SEVERAL rugs. I am very happy with this product and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has trouble with their rugs, or ANYTHING that just WILL NOT STICK!

Adios problema.. Puedes pegar y despegar la cortina cuantas veces quieras. Siempre se vuelve a pegar. .. Fantástico.
