My 40hp Yamaha was overheating - thermostat was the culprit. Old one was stuck and not responding to water temp. Very easy instal and luckily was able to reuse the original gasket as this did not come with replacement. Outboard no longer overheating and performing all around better.

I change my thermostats every year. I have a Yamaha V6 200 HP OX66 outboard that I run in Saltwater. When I run shallow I tend to pick up sand, shell bits, and sea grass. This stuff gets lodged in my thermostats. (My motor has two, one on each side)Since I clean them out periodically during the year, I go ahead and change them out once per year. These I ordered looked just like the ones I used to get from an on-line parts house but these were shipped and I received them quickly. They were about the same price but I get free shipping on Amazon and I get my parts about a week sooner!
