I was not thrown off by the mention of a combo in the description. It is pretty standard for a winder to not come with the swift. There are a few options if you don't want to get a swift but frankly I don't recommend them. The long arm amish style swift is my favorite compared to the umbrella style. That being said as WINDER ONLY it does its job. It winds most yarns fairly well especially worsted which or dk which is what most people prefer. Unless you really invest any winder is going to struggle with bulky. It does come with accessories which is the COMBO I think it is referring too. They don't add much value but they are nice to have.

The Yarn Ball Winder presents itself as a handy tool for knitting enthusiasts. Its ease of assembly and decent build quality are commendable, with a strong table clamp that offers wide adjustability, ensuring it stays in place during use. The included accessories are a thoughtful addition, enhancing the overall value of the package. However, the product is marred by a significant discrepancy in its description; the absence of a swift in the purported "combo" is misleading. A swift is essential for holding a hank of yarn while winding, and its exclusion is a notable oversight. Additionally, the winder seems to struggle with bulky yarns, which can get caught in the tension arm, suggesting that it's more suited for lighter weight yarns. Despite these drawbacks, the device performs well with the recommended yarn types, efficiently winding hanks or untidy balls of yarn. Yet, the deceptive product description cannot be overlooked, leading to a disappointing one-star rating. This review serves as a caution for potential buyers to verify product details thoroughly before purchase.Edit: Looks like they removed the word "Swift" from the description. As such, I adjusted my review accordingly. I only took one star off because the clamp feels like it needs to be tightened quite a bit to keep it from moving. It may depend on the surface of the table as well as it does better with less glossy surfaces. I love how other reviewers need to capitalize their words to make themselves sound right.
