Bit of a learning process would recommend. The extras are useful and nice i enjoy using it very useful and convenient. You can wind yarn in minutes without tiring yourself very quick. Also compact and easy to store.

I've been wrapping my own balls of yarn for years and it takes forever and there's a billion knots. This device made quick work that task and something that took me 30 minutes took 3. It's foolproof. Love this thing! I wish I got it sooner.

Easy assembly with clear instructions. Works really smooth and makes nice uniform cakes.Would purchase again.Packaging:Came by usps with box in shipping plastic bag. Box was crushed and some items were loose in bag but winder was not damaged (thankfully). Otherwise, I’m very pleased with this product.

Yarn cakes are the gold standard for ease of use when it comes to knitting; the consistent winding allows for a smooth removal as you knit, and the flat shape allows for easy storage. This winder allowed us to make ~50 skeins of yarn of all sorts of thicknesses and consistencies into cakes very rapidly. Everything from thin sock yarn to chunky WoolEze yarn worked with this, producing a tangle-free product from a machine that was easy, and frankly quite fun, to use. If you're a knitter or crocheter that has a tendency to hoard yarn like we do, getting one of these will be a wonder. The accessories included in the kit are also quite nice and were a welcome surprise; though tension rings aren't as useful for knitting as they are for crochet, they did find use guiding the yarn during winding. All in all, for the cost, this is one of the best investments you can make for quality of life for all yarn crafts.

This is great! It clamps to my desk and I can easily wind my yarn. It takes a fraction of the time and works perfectly.

I would have rated this higher had it came with the additional attachment. Thankfully this isn’t my first rodeo and I had a spare paper towel role, empty and handy.

Der Wickler sieht zwar altmodisch aus, tut aber absolut was er soll. Man kann ihn auch an einer dickeren Tischplatte befestigen, er macht einen stabilen und robusten Eindruck, lässt sich kinderleicht bedienen und die ersten vier 100g-Knäule sind schon gewickelt 😊.

Wonderful simple device. My gosh, what a difference it makes to have a well wound ball when using the sentro knitting machine. I bought a wool jeanie, but plain balls of wool were just pulling the magnetic spindle off the stand as it tightened up on a twist in the ball, very frustrating. Now the yarn feeds beautifully off the spindle, so I'm happy. It'll be excellent for plain hand knitting as well, nice neat balls of yarn instead of the floppy half finished balls that love to tangle and knot. Really happy with this :)

Amazing and such a timesaver. Be careful when winding that your yarn stays on the stand as it can sometimes wrap around the base and get tangled.
