I love everything fiber art related. I have so much yarn most of my space is filled with toats of it. This makes them into cute and convenient little cakes for storing. It's not big, and fits on most tables. I thinks it's pretty sturdy, I did have to put some oil in place due to the sound of squeaking. Most yarns are able to be wound up so it works well with many brands. I don't thinks it's gonna break any time soon honestly. The price seems super fair compared to others I've seen.

Works great! No issues with this winder. I'm having fun turning my stash into nice neat cakes.

I've wanted a ball winder for a longtime, & this one seemed great. It came with a bunch of crochet hooks & tiny crochet hooks, as well as some notions like stitch markers, 2 yarn needles, tape measure, etc... in a small plastic holder. I have already wound over 15 balls/skeins with it & I haven’t had any problems, even without a yarn swift, but this yarn winder is noisy, which was surprising, since no one mentioned that in the reviews. Also, the tube that attaches to the winder doesn't connect that well, I thought it would be more sturdy & less noisy, but it's okay for me. The price was low, & it makes nice yarn cakes/muffins. It has a max of 4 ounces per ball, so if you have bigger yarn hanks then get one with a larger capacity. Hope this helps.

I just dumped a yarn winder I got at a chain yarn shop. I ordered this one due to the good reviews. It is working perfectly. I just wound this ball of yarn from a skein, and as you can see it is a full 5" in diameter, and has an easily visible loose end coming from the center to pull out as the working yarn. It never tangled while winding nor did the yarn go off track. I was able to turn it very fast. Just be sure to snap the yarn guide arm into its slot on the bottom side of the winder. Great tool, especially for the price. I recommend this yarn winder.

The only complaint I have is after using it for a little while, it starts to become loose from the table and you have to keep tightening it. It also makes a squeak when you turn the handle which doesn't bother me but might bother others. It's pretty durable, and makes decent sized cakes of yarn of pretty much any thickness yarn. Very good value for your money, gets the job done ðŸ‘

I purchased this to save my marriage, since my hubby hated to hold my yarn as I wound it. My grandson was watching me one day & took it over. He loves to wind my yarn now. Marriage saved & a happy grandson. Win, win.

I have always wanted a ball winder and I love this. The only problem is making the yarn stay at the top when I start winding the yarn on the spindle. It has slits to put the yarn in, but that doesn't work. It needs a clip or something. So, use a piece of tape to hold the yarn down at the top then start winding. You have to remember to take the tape off before it is pulled up off of the spindle. Other than that, it is great.I recogmend buying the one this size and not a bigger one. The bigger the ball, the more it collapses as the yarn is used. When the ball of yarn is finished, you pull it off of the spindle and then you have a nice ball of center pull yarn.

This product does the job very well. Get a well rounded ball in a few seconds. Please be very careful with this product. Clamps to table are plastic and can break. My wife loves it and shes happy with it so its worth it.
