Pros - Great Price - Easy to Assemble - Great LooksCons - Not as Sturdy as I would have likedI bought this to replace my pool chemical box that was probably 16 years old and had seen better days (it came with the house). My lawn crew had eaten a couple of holes in the corner with the weed eater, so it was time to replace it. I searched many different products and did not want to spend $300+, so I settled on this container for its price and aesthetics. When I received the box I was surprised by its light weight. All of the parts were there and carefully packaged.I highly recommend studying the instructions COMPLETELY before assembling. The instructions are nothing but pictures with only a few cautionary notes. They kept saying to use a rubber mallet, but I just used my hands to snap/pop it all together. While putting it together I was concerned that the box was not very sturdy, but as I finished up I saw that it was better than I originally believed. Assembly time was less than 45 minutes and I had no help. If you use a drill to drive the screws, make sure that you do NOT over-tighten the screws. I has mine set to release on a scale of 3 out of 10 and still stripped 2 or 3 screws.I found that if it is on a flat surface it is pretty stable and strong. If it is not on a flat surface the box will get wonky and the top not lay flat. I do not recommend sitting on the top hinged lid. The lid is still a little too flexible for my taste, so only lift it from the middle. The piston hinges work very well, but I am sure that eventually the chlorine will corrode them up as was the case with the previous box.Because it needs the flat surface, I bought three 8-foot cedar 2x4's and cut them to build a frame (55-1/2" x 26") with an longitudinal center board to support to bottom of the box. If you are not going to set this on flat cement, then I highly recommend building this frame.After placing it on the ground and leveling (very important), I secured the box to the frame with screws and large washers along the center board at the bottom of the box. The frame raises the box up off the ground and hopefully will protect it from the weed eater. I do plan on mounting aluminum plates to the frame at the corners for protecting the wood from the weed eater.All in all, a good buy.

The instructions were clear and it was easy to put together. The size is perfect to hold the 12 patio chair cushions we have. It seems sturdy and has not bent or cracked any time items with any weight to them have been placed on top (have even had 100lbs on it before for a short time and it held up).

Ordered this box and it was delivered in excellent condition. The assembly instructions leave a LOT to your common sense. The pictures are not clear and the brief, multi-language written instructions with each picture are not easy to understand. (Yes, my husband and I are both college graduates.) During assembly, we had an issue understanding the instructions and I contacted the company directly - not through Amazon. The person I was text-chatting with didn't know the answer, but I got an email within 24 hours with the best solution and we were able to complete assembly.Box is sturdy, strong, comfortable to sit on, looks great and works wonderfully for storing our deck stuff. We've only had it out a few days, so i can't attest to the weatherproof claims. It hasn't rained yet!The only reason I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the difficult-to-understand assembly instructions.

Make sure to read the instructions carefully, it’s very tricky to fix if put together incorrectly.Very sturdy and is water proof. Have had it for over 6 months, no color fading or other weathering issues so far.

Very easy to assemble. Large capacity. Can store a lot of patio staff and pool toys. Very strong material. No rusting on the hinges. Highly recommended this one. Looking to get second one.

I love this box and my husband especially loves it. We live in a townhome and the only thing I dream of in having a bigger house is a mud room. My daughter and I ride horses (the reason we can't afford a bigger house lol!) and I come home with muddy boots. If I leave them outside the fox gets them or they get rained on. If we leave them inside we dirty up the house. This box is the perfect solution! It lives outside by our door, looks nice enough, and when we get home we just toss the dirty boots in there. So far no fox has swiped our shoes and they've stayed dry through several days of rain. It's perfect! My favorite amazon purchase of the year so far.Assembly was quick and easy. I read people's negative reviews about this and was very diligent. It definitely took some muscle to snap the parts into place and I made sure I did it right the first time because once it snaps in, it's IN. The box honestly doesn't feel heavy duty, but it's perfect for our use.

This is a beautiful Container/Chest. I had a little diffulty with instructions, not very detailed and pics for bars facing difficult to see.I did mess up and not place bars, before putting sises and was unable to take apart. Had to take of cap and saw and for bar. Didn't hurt unit tho. Sturdy, was able to sit on. I did notice that some parts were not as flush, so still concerned about rain, especially rain that blows at an angle. I did purchase a cover for this, so this should helpI would recommend.

you need 3 hands to assemble it because it keeps collapsing on itself during assembly and it feels super flimsy but for the price it’s what i’d expect. they say it can be used as an extra seat but i wouldn’t trust it -seams like if anyone over 30lbs sat on it and moved around the whole thing would collapse. but for extra storage of lightweight items like outdoor pillows or a box for carriers to put deliveries in (what I'm using it for) it should be fine. i have it on my porch to hide deliveries from view and keep them dry when it’s raining. it should last a while. **Update: it's very lightweight when empty and has blown off of my front porch a few times now in heavy winds.. I put a rock in it to weigh it down.

Once assembled it's quite sturdy. As others state, be very careful assembling - what is once done cannot be undone! Our only real issue is that the lid came just slightly warped. We're hoping it will flatten itself over time and with a little weight. Otherwise, product is what it says it is. It is very pricey for a plastic box but so, it seems, are all the competitors.

Package arrived on time and in good condition. All the parts were included and I only needed a screwdriver to put it together. Was easier with 2 people. The included instructions were a doddle to follow.The panels feel wobbly but once all together, the box is sturdy. The lid is easy to operate one handed which is useful.I replaced an old rotten wooden box and this gobbled up the contents with room to spare so lots of storage room. It's summer here so no rain yet but it certainly appears to be waterproof.

Der Aufbau ging mit Hilfe der Anleitung ganz einfach und die Box ist dann auch stabil uns bisher auch wasserdicht. Ich bewahre darin Pflanzwerkzeug, Erde und Vogelfutter auf. Daumen hoch!
