I used this to retime the CP3 on my 2014 cummins to remove the chatter from it, the puller worked well and allowedme to pull the gear without removing the timing cover and it held it in place as I tightened it and then while turning the motor over. I did not need the barring tool for my year and had to have someone hold the motor still when I broke the nut loose.

it worked fine, pulled the gear off the CP3 easily, but then again, its a piece of plate steel with some holes in it and a couple bolts, how could it not work well.

I bought it to pop the cp3 off the gear. It does not fit inside the access hole on the front cover of a 2006 cummins. I had to use longer bolts and a socket taped on the pump side to do what I had to do.

This gear puller does not have a stepped area to avoid making contact with the front cover. This will damage your front cover. The engine barring tool is nice and I like the grip only reason it got 2 stars not 1

Slightly bent while pulling gear, but this tool was the only thing that worked. Took lots of heat and fighting well worth the money
