they welded just fine to mild steel.

The welds and machining on the spindles looks great.They have some cheap plastic bushings for the king-pin (the big bolt that the spindle pivots on) that don't seem very durable. You will definelty want to keep them clean and greased to extend the life. I will see how well they hold up.The pedals n cable are OK but nothing to get excited about. The parts have a thin plating, probably Zinc to prevent rust. It's not "show chrome" and the parts aren't polished out.Overall they are respectable go kart building parts, and I can't see anything that would keep me from using them. I am building a dropped tube lawn mower axle!I Hope My Review And Pictures Were Helpful To You !!

The description says aluminum but a magnet sticks to them. I want to weld them so that would be good for me. They might be a mix of stainless which I won't be able to weld easily. The finish might be an aluminum color or zinc plating.
