Nice quality 18 gauge stamped galvanized steel flower boxes. Kit includes screw driver and T wrench in the hardware bags.It took about 90 minutes while I watched TV to put them together. They weigh less than 12 pounds each so you can build inside on the bed or a table then take them outside. No thread lock glue or lock washers included in the kit. The soil or rust will be your thread lock. The center bars are for holding the frame in shape when the wet soil and plants expand.I built all the arches first, then applied the two foot A sheets. Working on a table will save your back since bed takes 30 screws. These crimped 18 gauge sheets strength made me feel better about future use of stamped sheet buildings. Someone thought I was building the entrance to a root cellar (I think they would work for that.)The 19 cubic feet of garden soil and additives cost more than these raised beds.

There's not a lot to say about the finished product overall - it's your standard galvanized metal oblong garden bed. The exact materials and durability you'd expect of it (so, 2-3 years before it rusts out). The thing I wanna touch most on is the packaging, however. Somehow, they took a 6x3x1 garden box and fit it into a package about the size of a Kleenex box. I'm exaggerating here, of course...but not by much. It's both a marvel that t hey accomplished this feat, and also explains why I'm taking a star off - the term "some assembly required" is a massive understatement for this product given how small the packaging was. It took...quite some time...to put this together. More than I ever want to devote to something like this again.Other than that, price is fair, it's the right height to grow both shallow plants or root tubers if that's your thing, and once the initial chore is over, it's a net benefit to the garden.

Adding these three beds to my garden this spring. I grow lots of tomatoes and a few other vegetables in small raised beds each summer. Love the size of these, but adjusting to the lack of a bottom, my others have self watering bottoms, but the roots are limited. Plan to start with rough mulch, then potting mix. The lack of one star is the aggravation of putting the beds together. Not terrible, just annoying. I'll forget all about it when picking tomatoes in three months! : )
