Of course everything depends also on the rest of your setup, but the pump itself is great. Powerful, quiet. I bought the model with long cable, so I don't even need an extension. Great product.

Before I bought this pump I bought two other Zoeller, 0.5 horse power pumps. They were all working fine in different parts of the basement. But this time I decided to buy less powerful pump - 0.3 horse power because the extra power and fast speed of removing the water provide to much pressure in the pipes very fast and create excessive noise. My pipe was attached to the top of the ceiling in the crawl space. I could hear the sound of running water in the pipe from the living room when the 0.5 horse power pump was in use. This sound is so noisy that eventually it takes your attention away. I did not complain first years because it was also a sound of happiness. I knew that the pump was working well. Later I got tired of this noise and did two changes. I changed one pump to this, 0.3 horse power less powerful pump which creates less noise. And when I installed the third pump (an old, 0.5 hp) I built separate new water line which takes the water away through the new foundation wall (which I built under the old wall during the reconstruction of crawl space into the basement) to the backyard where the pipes are hidden underground.

I bought this to replace the exact same model and therefore limit the amount of modifications to replace the old one. Zero modification, worked on the first try. The box was a bit dinged up which gave me reason for concern but it's working fine this far.

Worlds best pump, will give trouble free service for 20 to 30+ years. Last one lasted 31 years so I replaced with identical Zoeller. You can get parts and just replace the switch, but I suggest replacing the whole pump after 31 years. Something else is bound to fail after that amount of time and trying to clean off 30 some years of gunk that looks like something from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie in order to replace a part isn't worth the effort. Well worth the money.

As usual Ontario's new subdivisions are full of horrible gradings. Grading is approved despite all complaints to builder and useless Tarion warranty organization. Then comes the fence company. Then they pass the ball to the fence company...Good Luck! Our property is 6" under proper grading towards the catch basin, which is on the opposite side of my neighbour's property. My only solution was to elevate all the water from the swell and sump pit with this super quiet and amazing pump. In just seconds empties the pit. You won't even notice. All I can say...Chuck from Apple Drains in the US. Follow his videos on YouTube and you will be a pro!If you are from Ontario, don't forget the frost. Use your imagination when installing the pump so it's easily removable during winter. Don't allow pump to be exposed in your garden or backyard during these months. Sump pit won't be deep enough for the frost line. Thanks Zoeller and Thank You Mr. Chuck from Apple Drains in Florida US. You are the best!
