This box is large enough to hold all my sewing stuff and ribbon (I have a lot of fabric craft items; this is my "grab box" of stuff I am most likely to use). The inner tray is easy to place and remove, and I was able to fit a surprising amount of stuff in the box under the tray and in the tray. The closure is a single snap - I'm not really sure how well it will hold up, but it has kept itself snapped closed so I assume it will hold up. The handle is a great touch; it is sizable and functional, so carrying it around and moving it in and out of storage is super easy. I also love the floral print, the appearance is very nostalgic and reminds me of my grandmother's sewing basket, but it looks more vintage than outdated. I much prefer it to a plain plastic box and think it's a good value for something a little more "personal" for sewing and craft storage.

It was fine, and as described but I returned it because you can not lay a spool of thread on the top section and shut the lid which I feel is kind of important

This is your classic sewing basket and it's perfect for my needs. It's about the same quality as one you would find at a big box store and has plenty of space for organizing your sewing notions.
