Unable to tell if they will last up to 10 years. However, I can tell they actually work. I have had no strong smells jump out at me when I open my fridge door like I would when using a box of baking soda. They are compact and don’t take up much fridge or freezer space.

I just received this so I can’t say how well it does at removing odors and it will take time to tributary I can say they’re nicely made. They’re sturdy and have holes at the top to absorb odor to the stuff inside. I put one in the fridge and plan on using the other for storage to keep the musty smell out. Hopefully they work as well as they’re made.

My mother taught me to always keep an open box of baking soda in the refrigerator to eliminate odors. The kids have knocked it over so many times because they don't watch what they're doing when looking for snacks. It makes a lot of extra work cleaning it up so when I saw these stainless steel gizmos that are supposed to sit in the fridge and do the same thing I thought I'd give them a shot.I can't tell whether it's working but the fridge doesn't smell and the baking soda is in the trash so maybe. Only time will tell. These little units are compact, nicely made with no sharp edges, and take up very little space in the back of the fridge. They have no moving parts and aren't filled with a pound of fine powder either. Honestly, I don't even know if the baking soda was doing anything or if that's an old wives' tale.
