This 3m selfie stick is pretty decent. It's not amazing, but for the price, you get a lot of value out of it. For something like this which is made of carbon fiber, I'd expect it to be a lot pricier. But overall, the carbon fiber seems to be well made and works well in this. When collapsed, the tops of each section have a little threaded ring that secures the section in place. To extend, you unscrew the sections and then pull to the full length. This selfie stick simply uses friction to 'lock' the sections when extended. This works fine for the most part, but unlike the Insta360 sticks, it only locks at the very ends. You can't pull a section out half way and expect to use it like that. So in reality, since this selfie stick has only four sections, there's only ~5 different lengths you can use. The last section is also quite thin (only 9mm in diameter) but it is reasonably strong. The stick itself (at the base) is fairly thin. It's about 1" in diameter, making it just slightly bigger than the regular Insta360 stick, but also thinner than the Insta360 3m stick.

You have probably seen selfie sticks for sale that were 3 foot, maybe even 6 foot in extended length. This stick is a huge 9.8, or roughly 10 feet in length. And it collapses down to 17 inches - less than 2 feet! When I was describing this stick to my photo buddy the first question was how small did it collapse to. The small size makes it easy to secure it onto the outside of my camera bag.One of the main reasons I got such a long stick was for the technique of using my gimbal on the end, going vertically from the ground straight up in the air to mimic the view from a helicopter. Before this stick that shot required I use one of my lighting tripods with the legs closed. The bulk of the tripod was cumbersome to say the least. This stick is lightweight and amazingly steady. I have found myself twisting the stick the reverse of the indicators to lock it in place. It has not seemed to matter and still provides the same amount to locking friction between the sections. I have been around other applications of carbon fiber but never in an application like this. It is amazingly light and steady.I just need to play with the length a little and really get used to it to have a little fun and unlock those amazing shots.

Hey it's your very own ten-foot pole. Y'know, like from the saying? This is actually a really nice pole, very light, and quite rigid where it matters.Pulling out just the larger segments at the bottom makes a nice rigid handle for normal selfie-stick duties. But you can go all the way to ten feet if you really need the reach. The pole's lightness can be a problem in that anything you put at the end will feel very heavy by comparison. But there's a threaded hole at the bottom, you can put a weight there. As mentioned in other reviews, each threaded nut reveals two sub-segments, and you need to stretch out the sub-segments fully. So there are a few specific lengths this pole can have. And while the segments only hold open with friction, there is a lot of friction available. The more firmly you pull the segments, the more firmly they'll hold.

This is.. a rather niche product?I'm not sure what the market is for 10-foot selfie sticks. Trying to get a close-up shot of a giraffe? Inspecting your gutters? It's definitely not "invisible," being an inch or so in diameter at the handle end and tapering down from there. It's about 18" long in the collapsed state, and does telescope to nearly 10 feet, or any distance in between.Construction is pretty solid, it's made of something that at least resembles carbon fiber, and the stiffness is good enough that it's not floppy, even fully extended with a small camera attached.

The carbon on this is stiff and lightweight. The sections do not just cam lock, they also have threads. The sections can screw into each other and hold very well. Then you unscrew them and unlock the sections and can extend this as far as you need. The cam locks hold well and the pole disappears with the proper camera. This one cams in either direction which is convenient. It my experience the directional ones do hold a little bit better but the universal ones like this work just as well and are fast to use. Very happy with it, it reaches much farther than any other pole I have for my cameras. Also, it just looks great. The mix of the carbon and anodized aluminum looks really sharp!

The selfie stick moves and feels unstable. You can feel the carbon fiber in the stick. Great length. Easy to use. I wish I would spent the extra money for the better quality.

This is probably better for extremely casual use as the rod itself bends a bit when you put some weight on it. It's great how light it is when I travel with it, but because of it's strength I have limited use for it. I recommend it only if you are looking to use it on something light, as a monopod, or need a stick that's super travel friendly.
