Nice kit. Fair bit of variety. Considering the cost, seems to be a great deal. Very functional packing. Will likely fit a wide variety of products. Packaged in a case with the groups of springs in their own little well-labeled bags. Doubt I’ll ever have issues with the legs being too short. Just snip them down as needed.

So, you have expansion springs and compressions springs in your garage already but you want to up the "yes I have just the part to fix that..." game? These are the torsion springs for you. I can tell you how many time my kiddo has come to me with a broken toy that needs fixed only to tell them "I don't have that". Once, with a $1 toy, that made noise, and I would have happily thrown away. But now I don't have to. And you can TOO! with these torsion springs what for lids and other applications where a compression spring for some reason is inconvenient. Up your "I can fix it game" by putting this set in your garage so that you can spend a fruitless hour searching your empire of dirt for just the right part that you know you have and the local hardware store doesn't.

These are quality springs, they work well for various 3D printing projects I'm working on and now I have a set for any repairs I need to do around the house.Having an assortment of all of the different combinations of wire sizes and tensions available means that I can test different wire sizes and tensions to find exactly the one that will work best. All legs are 50mm (~2 inches) log, so I don't anticipate any problems with legs that are too short, and of course you can also clip them to size for fit whatever the spring housing needs. They are ferromagnetic, so I'm guessing they are made of grade 430 Stainless- so if you need to mount them by a magnet, than that might effect your choice.

Assortments like this are great to have around for prototyping, repair, makers, robotics, etc. This one does not disappoint. 30 different sizes in individual bags with long tails that can be cut to fit. Each bag is marked with the size specifications of its spring in imperial and metric units. That's handy. Notably missing is the spring rate i.e. how 'springy' it is but most users, including me, will just pick one that fits the job and go from there. Long tails on the springs are easy to cut to fit.The plastic case is not compartmentalized so some sifting through the springs is necessary to find the right one, not a big deal and it's easy to tuck into a drawer or cabinet. On the theory that if you need it once, you'll need something like it in the future, when I need a few of some screws, washers, or now springs, I'll just get an assortment like this instead of driving to the hardware store for a specific item that may or may not be in stock. Over the years, that has saved much time and money. This assortment fits right in.Very handy!

I use torsion springs in a variety of projects. They’re great for making tensioners, clips and clamps. Usually, I buy clothes’ pegs or cheap plastic clips and pull the springs out of them. This kit of 120 springs makes life a lot easier. These springs appear to be well made out of stainless steel. The descriptions provided for these springs, on the box and each bag that they were packed in, took a bit of decoding to understand. All the springs had 5 coils at the center and the arms were all 50mm long. Half had a relaxed angle of 90° and the others had 120°. There were 5 different gauges of each coiled wire in 3 different coil diameters to give a range of possible applied torque. My main concern was that these springs were all the same in length. I would have liked to see some smaller and lighter springs included in the kit. I suppose I could cut them to my needs. The other issue I had was that some of the bags contained a mixture of spring types implying that I probably didn’t get all the springs as specified. Other than that, these springs looked to be of good quality and there’s enough here to last me a long time.

This is a really nice assortment of some high quality tension springs. These springs have a variety of uses, but in my case, they're specifically needed to fix the gas door on my Ford, similar to the example in the pic. I like that they're in individual bags, but I'd prefer a slightly large, compartmentalized box instead.

I often need a torsion spring for something I am building or repairing. I never know exactly what I need. There are so many specs relating to a torsion spring, it's just easier to try a few until I find what works. This assortment will make it easy to figure out what I need for ech project.
