I love the wood design and durability. Come with appropriate tools to help play it. But tried to use the app and had difficulty. I haven’t found an American app yet that has the Rock Band style game mode for the Kalimba yet.

Loved this little thumb piano known as a kalimba. My son in law has been gifted a musically gifted family. My daughter and 5 grandchildren all play musical instruments. Thought it was time he could join in.

The idea is cool. The app is very confusing to get started with. Mostly it’s in Chinese. Then you pay 14 dollars annually for the app. Scrolling through songs you know is hard. Most are in Chinese. Item is ok. Comes in very cheap packaging instructions aren’t very clear on how to download app, pay for app, wait for login user name and password from paid app.

Good quality item as described. App does not work also in Chinese. Other than that it was a perfect gift can still use to follow along with other apps.

Not only that there's no way I or anyone I know would be able to use it reliably. Maybe a very musically inclined child or thin lingered adult could. Had to return it. The thought of playing music along with the app was a really good one. But poor design. Not to mention that there were no familiar singles. They we were all Chinese and only a few to choose from.

After three prior attempts buying kalimbas of different brand names I’ve finally got a kalimba that has all its keys matching my chromatic tuner app. Plus, it has a crevice for my phone. Perfect!

The instrument is nice. However, BEWARE, if you have a Samsung phone, the size of the app keys does not match with the kalimba.
