Got it for my kid who found some of the keys were hard to play. Even the ones in the middle hurt finger tips after a few flicks.

I wish I have been introduced to this instruments when my kids were younger … but teenagers are having fun with it too…A toy/ instrument that will grow with your child … great for car rides instead of tablets.

The Kalimba arrived on time, in excellent shape, and already tuned. The craftmanship is beautiful as is the box it came in. The keys have notes engraved on them. Comes with plastic thumb covers, hammer, instruction book that also has some songs, stickers to place on the keys (if desired), microfiber cloth to clean it, and carrying clutch.Note, this is an instrument that needs to be held with both hands. Placing it on a surface prevents the sound from reverberating in the wood. You may be able to attach plastic dots/bumpers on the back, I've not tried it.

The book explains how to get started. The Kalimba sounds great just plucking random keys or playing songs. Definitely a good buy!
