I like the simple straightforward design of the rolling sweeper. The magnet is strong enough to pick up any stray nails or screws in the shop or around any project. But I wish the wheels were larger so it would roll through the grass. It does work but I have to drag it on top of the grass in some spots which causes the nails that have been picked up to be pulled off. I will probably upgrade the wheel size and test it to see if it will still pick up with the increased height. But other than that, it is a nice set including a telescoping magnetic pickup wand.

I ordered this 17-inch rolling magnetic sweeper to perform a thorough cleanup after installing a new roof on my house. Unfortunately, the roofers were not as neat as promised, leaving nails and other metal debris in the grass around my home. Three features of this product particularly attracted me:First and foremost, the sweeper has a strong magnet that can retrieve even the smallest metal objects from the grass. I systematically walked back and forth on all four sides of the house and found dozens of metal items, primarily nails.Second, the wide 17-inch sweeping area allowed me to cover a large space quickly, making the cleanup process more efficient.Third, this sweeper collapses into a compact form, making it easy to store and transport.Additionally, the telescoping magnetic pickup tool is a bonus feature capable of lifting up to sixteen pounds. In my tests with various large metal objects, the results varied; however, the tool performed best on flat surfaces with evenly distributed weights. Nonetheless, it is certainly more capable than my other pickup tools.Overall, I am 98% satisfied with this product. I would have given it a perfect score if it had come with a case for storage and transport. To address this, I ordered an appropriate-sized tool bag. Soon, I plan to visit my brother-in-law’s house to sweep his gravel driveway. Who knows what we might find?

This is a handy shop tool. It works great for nuts and bolts on the shop floor. Anything metal on a smooth surface. I want it for screws/nails in the grass and dirt around the build site. It still works but not as well because the grass sometimes pulls the metal back off the magnet. Still way better than bending down over and over and attempting to find nails in the grass is not cost effective without a magnet. The magnet on a stick that comes with it is a nice add on and I have used it many times for different things. The handle is a little short for me at 6' it's just about waist height but that's straight up and down.

This rolling magnetic sweeper is easy to assemble & then use. This does come with a wrench to attach the wheels but I would suggest using your own 10mm.The telescoping handle can be removed easily for storage or transport. This set also comes with a "pocket pickup" magnetic pen to get items from hard to reach places. The telescoping handle feels like a heavy duty antenna. It is solid, but I don't think it would take lots of abuse in a day to day construction site before getting bent. For light duty or a home owner, this seems fine. The 8lb magnetic pulling force is good for rolling over solid surfaces or loose grass. It may not be as strong as you would want for denser areas like thick grass or through leaves to find all of the magnetic metal items you want to retrieve.I would think for a roofing crew you would want something larger, stronger & more heavy duty, but for just around the house / yard for a home owner to help find things or clean up after work, I think this would be fine (that is how I am currently using this).

Some assembly is required. After putting the wheels on and the handle on, this works well for the price point. As a DIY-type guy, I'm really glad to have this around the shop to be sure I pick up metal shavings from the drill press and milling machine that the vacuum might have missed.I did not see this as strong enough to be used by a professional roofing or siding company to clean up nails in flower bed mulch or grass. But to be fair, at this price, it's not really designed to be used for that level of pickup.Don't get me wrong, it picks up nails just fine, but I would expect some might be left behind when entangled in the grass.Overall, for a DIY shop or garage, it's a great buy.

For a small unit it does pretty good. I picked maybe 30 items in less than 10 minutes from the back driveway. Every time it rains, more come to the surface. The magnet is pretty strong and the overall tool is lite weight and can easily be maneuvered around rocks and tall debris. The handle extends and is in my opinion the weakest part, but if you treat it easy it should last.
