This is 18 gauge wire in 100 foot rolls (6 packs to the box). I am a Ham Radio operator and I use a multi-band vertical for my HF radios. A vertical like this requires ground radials (usually about 16 of them at least 46 feet long, buried under the grass) for the antenna to work well. I had a set and the guy doing the lawn work hit the bundle and snatched some of them out of the ground making them targets for the lawn mower (lawn mower blades do not like having hundreds of feet of wire wrapped around the blade, ask me how I know). Anyway, with tree boxes of this 18 gauge wire I was able to create a new set of radials, hook one end into the antenna and the others fanned out all around the antenna, using an edger to cut a small trench for each wire. Antenna works great (have talked to over 300 folks in 2 months on 10 meters). This is quality wire at a very good price. You can also use it to make dipole antenna for other bands. Hanging in the air it is almost invisible and you shouldn't have issues from nosy neighbors or your local HOA. 73

If you're in the market to buy wire for a project, or just to have in your shop for the occasional need of a length of wire, then you know the price of wire these days are not exactly budget friendly. Well, I've scoured the internet looking for budget friendly wire and other than having to drive thirty miles or pay almost the price of the wire in shipping charges, this was the most budget friendly wire I've found. Now, if I said "after all, wire is wire", then the more astute users of wire would think I was an idiot. So, all wire is not created equal. If I were running this in a high heat environment, I would probably opt for marine grade wire, and yes, there is absolutely a big difference! I bought this for every around my farm, starting with rewiring my old Ford tractor, then runningwire to add side marker lights to my trailer. This "low budget" wire is excellent for things like that. The quality of the wire "without checking the ohms resistance", is a good quality wire that serves its purpose perfectly.

Works great probably enough in the 6 pack to last me for years . But when your on a job and you needed it they are worth there weight in gold.

This is a really great deal on some good wire for basic wiring projects, etc. For what my local auto parts store wanted for ONE spool, I was able to buy this entire set. The quality of the wire is good, insulation is soft and flexible. Very easy to strip and solder as needed. I'll probably buy another pack just to have on hand for future use.

This wire has a nice thick outer layer for protection, heat, and cold resistance. 25 ft is plenty to reach from your car or truck battery to the back of your vehicle. You get a red wire and black wire. Red for power and black for ground if that is why you are buying this wire. I originally bought this wire to run an LC2i Pro. It doesn't kink or twist and it's really durable.
