These are soft plastic media that is used to fill space and kind of cushion stones when they are being tumbled to be polished. They are a god value for the money and will definitely save some headaches and heartaches of any lapidary hobbyist, especially beginners. That also means that if you know someone that works in/with rocks, this can be a useful and thoughtful gift. And they are definitely worth the price. If you don't know what these are and what they are used for, I would encourage you to buy yourself a beginner's rock tumbling set and give it a try. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you can accomplish, and you may even start a new, lifelong hobby. Or at least buy a set for a youngster you know and give them a new hobby. Or don't. You don't need to listen to me. That being the case, why are you still here? I already said what I had to say. It was pretty simple. You can either take my advice or you can ignore me completely, like you do your boss. Well? Don't you have anything else to do? Seriously, don't you have a life? Go on, get back to doing whatever it is you should be doing. What do I have to do to get you to go away? Well then, you stay. I'm leaving.

Got this to replace the sand in my front shooting bag. Was concerned it might not be heavy/stable enough but was surprised at how sturdy it is & at half the weight of sand. Works even better in rear squeeze bag. Would recommend to anyone, especially at this price.

The bag empties rather fast with a 6 pound, medium tumbler. I have been able to save most of the beats in different jars so that they can be reused with the same grit in the future. They do not wear down as fast as I would’ve expected them to, but if you plan on using a tumble for a long period of time I would recommend buying more than 3 pounds because in the last month I utilized almost full 3 pounds, even though I do have a significant amount still saved they do go quickly if you use 6 pound rock tumbler or larger device.that being said, they work extremely well and multiple sets of rocks have come out beautiful thanks to the cushion provided by these plastic beats I will definitely be purchasing more of these be in the future. Thank you very much.

If you're filling up a range bag, or rifle rest, and you think you have enough, make sure you buy two more bags. But you'll have such a firm rest!

I use these pellets for teddy bear stuffing and they weight the bears very well and are easy to handle. They do NOT go rolling all over the floor like the glass pellets do!

These work wonderfully for tumbling in my polish stage and are just as advertised! I would highly recommend this for tumbling glass and polish stages
