I have 3 very long haired cats and I bought this set because I needed a comb with tight together tines to tease out mats before they became a big problem. The smaller comb with this feature does the trick very well and is comfortable to hold with my arthritic hands. All 3 cats seem to enjoy being groomed with both combs and I was very pleased with the price and sturdiness of them. I would recommend these combs to a friend.

These combs have been used on both cats and dogs with no issue at all. They seem pretty sturdy and comb through fur well.

I have tried several other ways to maintain my dogs coat and this is the best. Plastic combs and brushes break over time and a slicker doesn't work on my dog's curly coat. This comb works nicely to comb out his hair and removes small tangles before they become mats. The metal is essentially unbreakable with normal use and I expect this comb to last a very long time.

I used this on matted human hair. Yes. Sometimes called Depression Hair.Used with hair leave-in conditioner and detangler, both combs were instrumental in combing out the shoulder length hair of a loved one’s tangled and matted hair. The smaller comb made a big difference helping to avoid cutting inches of her hair off. Sturdy and easy to use. Just give yourself plenty of time.

This was a great deal for this set of combs. We have a Maine Coon and a Selkirk Rex so we k ow about dealing with fur coats! The comb with two different widths is great quality, thick and heavy-won’t bend and great at getting out the dead undercoat and knots/matted fur. The smaller comb is great for getting the dander and flakey skin out of their fur. Our Maine Coon has dry skin so he gets flakes from time to time even using conditioning treatments and it gets those icky white flakes out of his beautiful black fur. Definitely recommend this set of combs, worth every penny! I can’t believe such a low price for such nice quality!

The metal comb is great - solid & well made. Will last forever. The flea comb not so much. It’s solid, but doesn’t slide into my cat’s long fur well enough to find small mats, let alone evidence of fleas. I suspect the tines are not fine enough compared to the space between them. Sounds odd, but it doesn’t work like others I’ve had.
