I found an old 2 lb. ball peen hammer head covered with rust and resurrected it with this handle and a little elbow grease. It had been so long I couldn’t quite remember at which stage the metal pieces should go in, but I got it together and she’s solid as a rock. I made the right choice with this handle, fits like the original, took only a few minutes.

Came with wood and steel wedges to properly secure it. Weel se if it holds up. These days you can buy a cheap hammer for same price. I wanted to save and reuse an old hammer.

I own 6 different sledges various weights and these handles are on every one of them ...the oldest sledge is 8 years old and still going strong . I do recommend them to friends and family . great price fast delivery.

First attempt to install hammer head and quickly broke. Bought multiple and sent others back.

Fixed 2 of my 3lbs sledge hammers with them.I would buy again.Clean and sanded the opening on the hammer head real good, put the handle in and drive the wedge in.Then I mixed up some JB weld and filled in any gaps with that.They work great!!

Broke after a few days using it with a 2.5 lb blacksmithing hammer.Wedges came far too big for the handle and required a lot of finishing.
