These are decent quality. Where the countersink taper meets the back side, there's a bit of waste attached on a few pieces, but no big deal. These are a pretty decent value, currently at about $8.10 with the 10% coupon. I bought these to extend the sides of a slide-out tray in a cabinet, and they work well for that purpose.

There are four different types of Stainless Steel (SS). Starting with the most to the least amount of Chromium/Nickel alloy mix: Austenitic (aka 18/8 or 304SS), Ferritic, Duplex and Martensitic. The seller does not state what type of SS these are made of, except "Steel SS", so your guess is as good as mine. These 1.42†x 0.63†brackets with 0.63†counter sunk holes stick to a magnet and are not Austenitic, but all Stainless Steels are Rust and Corrosion resistant to a certain extent depending on environment and application. There are also 60, M6 x 16mm supplied screws that are Austenitic, as the magnet does not stick to them whatsoever. The “How to Use†picture in the listing says to peel the protective film off, but mine do not have it. I like to have a small assortment of the most popular size mending plates and brackets I’ve used in the past on hand for when needed. Life is Good!! These bits of metal alloy DO function as basic mending plates.Pros:1. The dimensions are accurate2. The stated quantity is accurate3. All screws are present4. Looks like steel5. Contains some steel6. Cheap price pointCons:1. I needed steel for its magnetic properties as these were going to double as magnet catches. The level of magnetic attraction is so weak that the magnet slides around on the surface of the magnet. I have tried several different magnets (that ALL stick firmly to other items) and they all perform similarly or worse.2. The advertisement indicates there is supposed to be some protective covering which doesn't appear to be a thing with the ones I received! I had a degree of hope that that cover could explain the poor magnetism, but after scratching up one plate I couldn't find a protective film to remove!All-in-all, these are fine as basic mending plates. Since they don't seem to be 100% steel you may want to use caution if high durability is a need. I would rate these as 3-stars, functional but not spectacular.

These are some basic, small mending plates that can be used for various projects. They would be handy for jobs like mending furniture, building shelves, etc. But keep in mind that these are just 1/16 inches thick so they are suitable only for fairly light-duty tasks. The plates and included screws come in a small, plastic storage case which is handy. But note that, oddly, some of the screws come in a ziplock bag while the rest are just loose in the plastic case.I checked the plates with a magnet and they are only slightly magnetic, consistent with stainless steel as claimed. But the included screws are highly magnetic and I suspect the screws are not stainless steel. You may want to replace the screws if you plan to use these plates outdoors.These plates are a great option for light-duty uses and the $8.99 price for 20 pieces is very reasonable. The screws are a bonus which avoids having to buy some separately but you may want to replace those if you want to be sure they are stainless steel.

These were great for a small project. We were working on around the house. I was looking for something similar to this when I located this. These little brackets were just what we needed.

Very good quality, super strong brackets.These are very well machined and will serve their purpose nicely.Seem to be good quality stainless steel that will not rust easily.The holes are beveled nicely to help conceal the screw heads.I would cal them appearance grade because they look very nice and should not take away the beauty of a project.Price is an excellent value and I would order again.

These brackets are as described and pictured.They measure 2 1/4" x 5/8" and 1/16" thick with 1/4" holes.The claim is there are no sharp edges or burrs and it's true they are finished nicely. User friendly and wood friendly. And they come with 40 again well made stainless steel screws in a approximately sized plastic box.I can recommend this product.Happy customer.

As a DIYer, I'm always doing various projects and fixing things around the house.Having brackets around is a savior.Never know when you need one u til you need one.I use these a lot and this one is a little bigger than the ones I tend to use which is a good thing.Super sturdy and a great price for 30 of these.
