I like to use spice plates for assembling roadbed for my model railroad. I use them to join sections of plywood together, which means general sheet metal splice plates you get at local box stores are too flimsy.The MOUNTAIN_ARK splice plates are nice and stiff and painted black. The length, width and thickness are prefect for my use and the price is reasonable.

I find it both comical and sad that the holes in this structural plate are not symmetrical. It's shown in their picture though so it isn't misleading online. Bob had a tough day and must have missed that dimension when designing the plate.I'm the type of person that notices everything, that's why I'm an engineer. Should you use these plates and I visited, I would notice it. However, most people probably wouldn't and due to the options available, I would use them again.Outside of that, it is of good quality and the coating is durable. My driver slipped a couple times and I didn't damage the plate.Smaller holes are little small for a structural screw (I am using #14s) so I drilled them out. Easy enough with good pressure and low rpm on the driver.

Smooth edges, great coating, thick, strong metal with well cut bolt holes.

These are nice and heavy duty mounting brackets. Used these to mount some legs to a table.
