This was great to use when space is limited. Seems sturdy, though I have only tried small cookies, I don’t know how well it would hold up to cakes. I like that it stores flat.

I love this cooling rack. It can fit a good bit on it and I love that it's collapsible so it doesn't take up a lot of space

I really, really wanted to love this. And I really hoped that it would be stable and strong enough to handle more than just cookies. Unfortunately it isn't. It also doesn't come with any sort of instructions, and while it wasn't super difficult to figure out (just loosen the nuts, hook the brace bar between the nut and the frame, then re-tighten) it would be nice if it at least had a little something. While the collapsible element of this is awesome in terms of reducing storage space use, the expanded position just isn't stable enough (even after carefully tightening ALL of the cap nuts, which loosen a bit every time you expand or collapse the racks) for anything heavier than cookies to safely be on the top two tiers. It wobbles. It was okay with a pie on the bottom, some homemade bagels (on parchment paper) on the tier above it, and cookies on the top two, but we didn't feel like it would be safe to have a pie on each of the bottom tiers. Given the instability, for the price, sadly would not recommend (unless it's to someone who only every makes cookies).

Maybe I should have lowered my expectations before ordering, but I was disappointed. It feels too frail and I wouldn't feel comfortable putting anything on it. My wife, the actual user of it, said that it was OK, but since she is easily pleased with this type of thing, an OK means that she is as underwhelmed as I am.Unless you have used this type of rack before and it worked for you despite its frailty feeling, I wouldn't recommend.

The first thing I did with this baking rack was put it through the dishwasher. And it survived almost without issue. The last thing I need to be dealing with after baking is trying to clean the joints of a cooling rack. While most cookies won’t leave much, if anything, behind, cakes are another story. When baking a multiple-tiered cake, you need to bake several cakes. The issue with this is finding space to cool all of those cakes. However, a good, moist cake will often leave a bit behind on a cooling rack, and I don’t want to wash a rack like this by hand. So into the dishwasher we go!The only issue I encountered was a bit of rust on the threads under some of the nuts, and that’s because those weren’t tight. So next time, no nuts, or make sure they’re tight. **Important: my dishwasher settings were Normal wash and NO HEAT DRYING.Other than that, I find no issues with this cooling rack. It’s a coated metal; hopefully non-stick, but I don’t know yet as I haven’t used it. It’s 4 layers to cool baking items on at the same time, but taking up the space of only one rack, and it’s less than $30. I don’t think you can expect more than that.

A great tool for the baker. Versatile cooling racks are adjustable to 3 different heights. Makes baking multiple different items an easy way for them to cool off before packing them. Fits so much baked goods you won’t run out of counter space. Easily folds for compact storage in the cabinet. Makes a great gift. Good value for your money.

Tried to assemble couple times, first one of the cap screws was missing, but even with that - it will not stand upright. Buy individual racks that will stack. This - is a joke.
