It’s 10° in Ohio in those photos and the water is just right for my feathered friends. And hopefully for the other woodland creatures I see tracks for in the snow. I did a lot of research before I have opted for this device and I am so glad this is the one I chose. It is very well-made, very sturdy, and the cord is thick and secure. You can’t go wrong.

Not using it to de-ice a bird bath, but keeping the water of my wet tile saw (which I'm keeping in a shelter shed set up, no place in the garage) from freezing during the winter for my ongoing bathroom(s) renovation.Works perfectly, even at -10F last week.

Worked for like 3 days, then noticed it was frozen over at 27 degrees. I’m trying to return it, but I have to wait for it to thaw because the temp dropped and now it’s frozen inside the bird bath.

This heater is being used in a DIY bucket chicken waterer, and it's working to keep the water from freezing in freezing Maine winter.

Works great handling sub-freezing temps for my wall mounted fountain.

It's just the right size to fit in a birdbath and not get in the way. It warms quickly, but does not get too hot to burn anything.
