I love these combs because: they are well built; do a great job and you can change combs depending on the cat's hair. I have two cats with very different coats, therefore, I have appropriate choices. I also own a furminator but my Boys tolerate the combs better than the furminator. The combs being light weight make them easier to handle when one of the Boys doesn't want to cooperate. I almost forgot the long handle is easier to handle.

I wanted a flea comb to check my cat. He is inside but my dog goes outside every day. He is on monthly topical flea meds but I still worried when the cat was starting to scratch. I am not sure whether the teeth are close enough to each other to pull out fleas which is why I gave it 4 stars. It does take out excess hair so probably fine. The cat is very sensitive and with some of the flea meds, his hair will fall out at the spot where I put the stuff. The dog likes the two larger combs and they help keep him from getting mats. Coconut is half hairless and half long white hair with a tail that looks like a palm tree when he has it up in the air. The combs do not hurt him when going over his skin. They have rounded edges. The wooden handles look nice and are comfortable to hold.

My cat is not a huge fan of being brushed, but it turns out he loves a comb. All the combs I tried previously either had teeth too wide to really get any of his loose fur out, or they had plastic handles that caused an excess of static. These have great teeth and the wooden handle causes far less static, even when I have the heat on and the air is dry!
