this works great, but can create enough vibration noise that the three old rubber noise reducing grommets reveal their inability to do their job and need to be replaced too. Also, I had to destroy the old fan cage trying to get it off the old motor; so I had to also get a new fan cage. All in all though, between the motor, gaskets, grommets and fan cage I think I was in for around $100, instead of the few hundred to buy from a parts supplier, or worse yet to pay a furnace tech probably well over a thousand to take care of the problem.

I replaced the motor inducer in an old Carrier furnace, and it worked perfectly well. I strongly recommend this product, just make sure it is the right part number compatible to your system.

Motor installed great, I used it for a Bryant 80% 383KAV Furnace. The part for mine ,the whole assembly was 318984-753. This time I would chance it and just buy the motor, inducer blower fan, and gaskets. The motor installed perfectly and I was left with 2 long screws. I couldn't get the nut off the original which is metric, the new inducer fan I bought was SAE hex. So I got my hacksaw and cut the inducer blower fan loose and re-used the assembly. My only complaint is that the retaining washer for the that came with the motor for the plastic cooling fan was impossible to put on, I bent until it finally installed. The retaining washer was easier to install on the original motor than on the one it shipped it, go figure. My last carrier/bryant assembly lasted about 10 years, let see how long this motor lasts.

Replacement for Bryant 80+ furnace. Very similar to Carrier and Payne. Straight forward swap except for one thing. One customer diagrammed his struggle. They use Loctite to secure the fan and set screw onto the shift. The trick is to heat it with a torch, not red but hot enough to break the bond. The screw was able to be loosened and the blower was free on the shift. The last hurtle was the gasket. It disintegrated. I used DAP silicone caulk since that area doesn't get hot. Careful to not lose the screws since their main function is to play hide-n-seek.

Worked as expected. I bought 2 and installed them myself. Both of my old ones were squeaking.

This replacement motor is doing ok so far as a replacement for the original motor on a customer's Carrier heater. The motor shaft though is about 1/8" shorter than the original motor shaft for the metal blower wheel. This means the blower wheel is slightly closer to the motor side housing and is almost rubbing this housing and could do so later on if any end play develops on the motor shaft. I will likely choose a different make motor next time I have a customer in need unless I am notified this has been corrected.

This is by far the worst experience. The motor has no taped holes and no hardware i had to use a self tapping screw to secure it. It claims 3000 rpm i highly doubt it is even 1000. Dont waste time and money.
