Frozen pies and smaller pot pies always specify aluminum foil to protect the crust edges. Silicone edge protectors work as well and can be reused repeatedly. Oven safe, dishwasher safe.

Using these for individual pot pies is so much easier than tearing or cutting strips of foil to put around the rim of the pie.Washes easily on the top rack of the dishwasher. Stores easily.

I used these for pot pies, but they didn’t work out. They just sit on top of the crust and the edges of the crust still burned. They need a lip to protect the edges.

I bought these for use with store bought pot-pies thinking they would be like the full sized pie shield I already had. They do kind of work, but they are just flat disks and don't actually go over the edge of the crust so the crust edge still gets over cooked, though not by as much as no shield at all.I continue to use them because I hate wasting aluminum foil every time I cook a pot-pie, but if I ever find any that have the over-the-edge lip, these will be given away or trashed.

I bought these to use with the chicken pot pies I bought recently. They're to prevent the perimeter from becoming overdone during the cooking process. I've been getting good results and would certainly recommend them. I was left with one question, however. How did my late mother avoid this problem when making her delicious pies? I never saw anything like this in our home and that was before tinfoil.

Easy to use-much better than trying to use foil.

These are the handiest things. No more trimming foil to fit and having them fall off. I only needed 2 so I gave 2 to my friend and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Easy clean too
