Cost a little more than picking up at Home Depot but wanted to test this brand out. Very strong seal, took me a little bit just to get the lids to unscrew. Much better than basic plastic lids and have easier access to my grains and beans. Would buy again.

We originally had a Vaultees dog food bin but it got destroyed. We didn’t want to pay another $60 for one bin that could only fit one bag of dog food in it so we bought this product went to Home Depot and bought 4 orange buckets and installed the lids. Now we have 4 buckets that can hold 2 bags of dog food for less than the price of the vaultee bin. The lids are a bit difficult to install so use a rubber mallet to help with installation.

So far I'd compare the quality to the original Gamma Seal lid. They stand on snug, provide a nice seal, and are easily unscrew-able. I even tried the lid on an old Gamma Seal ring that was pretty beat up and it worked just fine. The only downside is that they're white, and are going to get dirty real quick (why is anything white?). Ah darn, I should have ordered black!

I use these in a few different ways.1) I use these on my ice melt buckets. Easy on off for getting in and out to grab product and close to keep out moisture and product dry as it can be if its snowing when I get in to the bucket. These lids keep everything out or in for sure with no worry. I keep a few loaded on the back of my pickup for my snow removal business.2) I keep nonperishable food kits in my other buckets when I go on long trips or in to the mountains. just incase I get stranded.3) I keep chains and or ratchet straps in them. The lids again are easy to spin on and off.These lids keep the dust, mud, dirt, snow, rain what ever you want kept out, OUT. Easy to use once installed. I uses these lids for a lot and have yet to regret spending the money on them. If my gear is wet on the inside its because I left the lid off, put stuff away wet and didnt dry it, or it was raining/ snowing when I opened the bucket. I do recomend getting brand new clean buckets for most uses to help keep gear and food clean but sometimes not an issue.
