Its decent for what it is, don't expect elgato or avermedia out of this though. It does work as its intended, I tried using a splitter to give similar functionally as other capture cards with a in and out hdmi, it did not work. It worked fine for capturing another computer or just playing inside of OBS (what they say to use with this), but not to play on one screen and record on another. it does get a tad hot over time, around 30-40 minutes from my tests. I had no issues with OBS detecting this device and it working with it.

I was surprised how easy this was to use. I just plugged it in to my Windows PC and the drivers were loaded automatically. I proceeded to connect my (Android) phone to it via a USB-C to HDMI cable and fired up OBS. I added the "Video Capture Device" and voila, my phone's screen was visible right away and I could record the screen via OBS. Very easy. I've had other video capture cards before, this was a lot easier to set up plus the form factor was a lot smaller than some big name brands that I've own that cost me a lot more. Happy with my purchase.

I set up a computer playing a youtube video to feed HDMI video/audio into the capture device. Using the recommended OBS recording software installed on a 2nd (64 bit, quad core, Win11) PC, I recorded a segment of a music video. The OBS software screen showed a perfect, glitch-free image, though I wasn't getting any audio through the PC's speakers while recording (likely a problem with configuring the new software). I tried playback through 3 different video player apps, and all showed very jerky video with a lot of audio dropouts. To be clear, this was a '1st try', using the very limited instructions that came with the device. After this failed attempt, I went back to the 'user manual' and on the very last page, it lists hardware requirements (which are not in the product listing on Amazon): They are: PC: Intel i5-3400 or above; NB i7-3537U 2.0GHz or above. Graphics card: PC NVIDIA GT630 or above; NC NVIDIA GT735M or above. Run memory: 4G RAM. Now, my PC has an older (but still quite fast 2.7GHz) processor than these, but 16G ram and has no problem at all displaying anything streamed on youtube, etc.If you purchase this product, be sure you have the hardware required to test its viability.

This capture card works absolutely perfect and is easily carried anywhere you need it to go. You can use it for podcasting with OBS studio or many other programs. Plus you can set it up to have a direct camera feed for anything you might want to record and share. This is the object that is needed for any kind of recording and transmitting to your personal laptop or desktop. At the price you cannot beat it and it works flawlessly right after plug-in.

No issues. Gets a little hot but doesn't affect the audio and video.
