This little powerhouse of a heater kept my fish pond from freezing this winter. Temperatures were below zero a few times and it kept my pond completely free of ice.

I bought in October but did nit need to use untim a freeze this week and it worked only 1 night. Water was frozen next night. Cannot contact seller or return because window is closed. Very terrible waste of money. Buying American made for my next one.UPDATE - The company reached out to help resolve my issue. They believe it may be a defective unit and sent me another one directly though amazon since I could not do a refund on the app. It worked great and no issues. Very fast follow-up from their customer service.

I’ve been using this all winter for my ducks water bin. I purchased an 11 gallon tub from tractor supply, I run a winter safe extension cord from the house to the coop. And this little heater has kept our water thawed all winter in New Hampshire, we’ve had many nights and days in the negatives but it still keeps it thawed. Makes my job easier and the ducks are happy with a slightly warm watering hole.

We bought this to keep a small outdoor pond from icing over during the winter. So far it has successfully worked after a week of below freezing days, and allows me to keep the circulator pump running in the middle of winter. The fish seem somewhat interested in the heater, and I often catch them congregating near the warmer water. I'm probably going to follow up with a simple polycarbonate panel to retain the heat a little better, but simply adding this to a small pond is an easy winter solution.

I bought the lowest wattage option knowing that my use for a bird bath required very little heat. This works well but know you will have to add water often to replace what evaporates and keep the unit covered with liquid (per instructions), if your container is less than ~3 gallons. It seems to work great. Time will tell on its durability but it seems substantial in the cord to body area, though I plan to be gentle to reduce the odds of damage at that location.

This submerges in the water to keep it from freezingWhile it does work well for keeping the water from freezing it is getting all rusty and making the water grossThis is the first winter I’ve used it. The rust began with in a few days of using it and I thought it would stop once I’d used it for a bit however it’s just getting worse

This heater has saved me with our chickens water more times than I can count. I put this in a 16 gallon plastic garbage can when we took a vacation in the winter. It kept the water from freezing and I had it filled to the top. I didn’t let it lay on the bottom of the can I actually suspended it so it was an inch from the bottom. The quality is great and it hasn’t rusted. I liked its functionality because it wouldn’t kick on unless the water reached a certain temp. The design and value it worth what it costs.

Bought this to keep water from freezing inside kiddie pool for our ducks. Has been working perfectly, even on single digit cold days.

I have a 55gal that's 2/3 full that I use for cold plunge and it keeps it from freezing. Canadian winter here so even at -19°c and does the job.**update** -28°c and my non-insulated 33 plastic barrel is still good for cold plunge! A litte bit of ice formed on top bit it's thin and breakable. Works great!

Unit is exactly as described and worked well. I’m using it in Canada to keep a 1250L IBC tote from freezing completely and with a cover over the tote, this keeps it liquid even through negative temps.

Loved it. Onto turns on when needed. It’s keeping 100 gallon water tank warm in -15

Many years ago I bought my first bird bath heater, same model. Worked very reliably every winter in a large 3†deep bird bath. The birds gathered daily for water. Thus far there have been several below freezing nights & each time it has performed well in the same bird bath. I expect it will perform as well as it’s predecessor.Update Jan/24…we’ve now had sub zero temperatures for 5+ weeks. Sadly this current heater doesn’t live up to its predecessor. In the morning most of the water is frozen with just about an inch still thawed. Extremely disappointed! I WOULD NOT recommend this product.
