Copper cut tacks are a favorite for crafters, woodworkers, upholsters and carpet installers. They feature a sharp point, and tapered body. Also known as flat head tacks.

They are real copper! I was worried because one of the reviews said that they were aluminum with copper paint, but in fact they are 100% copper. Copper is soft as far as metals go, much like aluminum, so I can see where there could be confusion. I haven’t really use them for any woodworking though. They are working like a charm for getting rid of some unwanted plants that popped up in my yard. I figured it worked for trees, so I tried these with a few stubborn palm saplings. After a week they are wilting pretty substantially. I’ll add an edit if anything changes.

Shining copper nails are pretty and have a sharp tip. Received 17 nails in the package.

The nails worked for my needs.

They're aluminum coated with a copper paint, so they should be listed as "copper color nails". Also, they bend super easily when hammering into wood.

I like that they are copper and 3/4" long. I don't like that the 0.5 oz plastic containers that were received were open and one had a hole; tacks were all over inside of the envelope. There were 20 tacks total so 10 per container. This is my 3rd purchase of these tacks. The first was from the local hardware store which ran out. That container had18 tacks. Not sure why these containers have almost 50% less.Copper is soft so pre-drilling recommended or these tacks will bend.

a lot of the reviews mention that the metal bends easily, which it does, quite a bit. The point will simply curl up as you hammer and not go into the wood at all.HOWEVER, i found that if i simply cut off (at an angle) the thinnest part of the point with wire cutters, they work wonderfully, making these an outstanding bargain! If you aren't using a hardwood, i definitely recommend these tacks : )

Nails are too soft, hit it with a finishing tool and the copper nail rolls up and won't penetrate through anything, garbage.
