On the box: Hillman 59735 spring action hose clamps 9/16" Made in USA UPC 008236890136In the box: 20 clamps, painted green steelThis is a box of small painted steel spring action hose or tubing clamps, also known as constant tension clamps. If you went to your local hardware store where they have the Hillman bins with the assortments of nuts, bolts, screws and fasteners these clamps would be one of those boxes. I was very frustrated at the sizing of these clamps as it was difficult to find the actual min/max dimensions (these clamps have a very small size range as they only expand about .07-.10"). I bought an assortment and this is what I measured them at:59732 - 3/8" size - .31-.38"59733 - 7/16" size - .39-.47"59734 - 1/2" size - .45-.53"59735 - 9/16" size - .52-.62"59736 - 5/8" size - .57-.67"Fully open these clamps go slightly out of round, I measured on the small side. If you are placing the clamps over a barbed fitting make allowance for the extra hose expansion at the barb, you may have to go a size up. Hope this is helpful.

These OEM quality clamps require careful sizing to be effective. This clamp works great with 5/16 ID rubber gas line hose, which has a nominal OD of 9/16 inch. Using the wrong size clamp will result in improper tension and sealing.In newer plastic fittings, stainless steel worm dive clamps might eventually exert undue pressure at a point under the screw that may eventually crack and destroy the fitting, resulting in needing to replace a large expensive part.These are OEM supplied and installed to provide constant gentle tension to the entire circumference of the hose and fitting over the entire life of the assembly for long life.

These hose clamps are the best. Identical to the ones already on my car. I wish they came in a multipack of different sizes and not just all the same size.

Happy to find these clamps made by a known brand in the USA. Seems almost everything on amazon these days is all low quality China made junk.The clamps I got are black not the green/gold pictured. This was a plus for me.

I used 3 of them in my car's cooling system. As a result part of the coolant was leaked. The size is correct but it is not tight enough to be used as an automobile spare part.
