I was excited to get these brushes and use them them for my pie crusts. I had a horrible issue with the bristles falling out of the brush all over my pie crust. Then I began to gently pull bristles out of the brush until it was bare. I tossed all of the brushes and purchased silicone brushes.

I bought these brushes to replace cheap ones where the bristles melt when exposed to heat. These brushes were a pleasant surprise that held up and cleaned up easily. They seem to be durable...only time will tell.

I use this product for egg wash on different baked goods and applying a frosting glaze on scones. It sheds bristles almost every time I use it.

Very decent pastry brushes! Appears to me similar quality to what others are selling for more money. Happy with them!

2 of the brushes fell out of the wooden handles. The falling boar bristles is an issue. I hoped that washing it vigorously I could get out all the loose bristles, but the first time I used it to brush butter on filo dough I was horrified that there were so many bristles in my dish.

Opened them up. Immediately saw that one of the wood handles has a gouge out of it and the manufacturer applied finish over the gouge. Given how many brushes there are in the set, it wasn't important to me if the brushes worked well.I washed and dried the brushes. The finish on the handles immediately started cracking along the grain. The hairs were no longer organized but stuck out in all directions. I re-wet them and tried to get them to lie flat but they weren't having it. I had a proper wood culinary brush I bought 12 years ago that had multiple washings and repeated use. I only got rid of it because the brown plastic ring around the base of the bristles cracked. The bristles of that 12 year old basting brush never looked as bad as these did after 1 wash.
