I live in Florida and recently experienced an unprecedented snowmaggdon that broke the bottom out of the glass in my rain gauge. This replacement has a 2" diameter, is easy to read and fits perfect! Hopefully no more snow/ice in Florida. 😆

It rained the other night, less than 1†of rain. That same night it dropped below freezing and the thing broke. There was obviously plenty of room for the water to expand but it broke the glass. Cheaply made.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas it had a 1/2" of water in the bottom we didn't notice and it froze overnight and the bottom broke and fell out... The glass on this guage is very thin. We have needed to replace it multiple times because it has broken in an hail storm and once in heavy rain. It looks nice, and we are committed now because we screwed the bracket to our metal railing, which is why we keep replacing it with the same product.
