Operation

  • Step 1. Spray lubricant on the stones or the cylinder bores. Get the hone set up on the drill.
  • Step 2.Insert the engine hone into the cylinder and run the drill at low speed between 300-700 RPM.
  • Step 3. After honing, use a paper towel to wipe out the inside of cylinder.
  • Don't push or pull the stones more than 3/4 inches out of the cylinder.
  • Don't run the engine hone for more than 3 mins.

Works well, though don’t expect to do more than five or six hone jobs with it as the stones wear and degrade really quickly. Four stars for somewhat flimsy build quality, but for the $20-ish bucks, did the job and the engine runs perfectly.

This worked great for my twin cylinder lawn mower rebuild. For the price it is great. May not last so long for a full time shop but will last for several jobs around my hobby shop.

I only got through about 5 out of 8 cylinders before it got a little thin. I didn't feel comfortable continuing. Worked well for a while. Felt a little low quality.
