Premium-grade Australian charcoal to replenish refillable carbon filters in compact and medium-sized grow spaces. The RC412 charcoal significantly improves odor and chemical suppression through its expanded internal surface area and increased porosity. Its greater adsorption rate enables larger quantities of contaminants to be trapped for enhanced ventilation. The charcoal’s 1200 +IAV rating supports air quality enhancement by promoting a longer lifespan, extending the time between refills. Their charcoal pieces are smaller in size, tested to have the same odor-blocking efficacy as factory-built carbon filters without requiring active compression.
Replaceable Carbon
This 16 lb. supply of activated carbon can provide 1+ replenishment to 8” refillable carbon filters, 2+ refills to 6” filters, and 4+ refills to 4” filters. Together they can block odors and chemicals from escaping growing environments like grow rooms, grow tents, and hydroponic grow spaces. It can also be used in air filtration ventilation projects like laser cutting, smoking rooms, bathrooms, etc. In addition to HVAC settings, activated carbon improves aquatic environments such as aquariums, fish tanks, and ponds.

Well, the title sums it up. Easy to handle, good quality and value. It works amazingly well at eliminating odors. In a canister air filter it can last 2 years. There was enough to replace the activated carbon in 2 four inch filters.

Didn’t appreciate the significant amount of spilled charcoal in the shipping box but the bag itself wasn’t ruptured. Product is as described and I like the resealable bag. I use it in the refillable AC Infinity 6 inch carbon filter and it does the job well.

We bought this activated carbon for use in a food waste recycler which had started to get smelly. It works great and is so much cheaper (by unit price) than the carbon from the manufacturer of the food waste recycler. It comes in a big bag and I expect it to last a long long time. I highly recommend it.

I am not sure on the performance, but it seems good and this is the largest carbon particle size I have ever seen outside of coal type charcoal. Excellent resealable 32LBS bag came in perfect condition. I previously had ordered Centaur XL and it was more expensive and particle size was very small. Definitely recommend this.

Bought this to filter water, but this product is sold as an air filter filler. I don't want to buy a water filter (like Brita) that has a hard plastic casing and if it is not recycled ends up in a landfill. Filled the upper chamber of the Brita filter water pitcher with these carbon granules, and produced a good tasting water. Searched for the expansion for IAV, an acronym used in this product description, couldn't find one; I am thinking it is linked to the surface area of granules. I wish sellers are more diligent in writing product descriptions.
