I recently had a issue with a set of bearings in the fan motor for my Midea U shaped AC. It sounded like a fast rock tumbler. I found that the bearing inside these is a standard skate bearing, but I did not have a bearing pull tool and damaged the motor in the removal of the bearing, a 608 bearing. That meant that I had to replace the motor. This is a perfect fit, but pricier than replacing a bearing or just getting the proper tool in the first place. Shipping did take some time, but less than was listed as I got mine roughly 4 days earlier than the earliest estimate. It does ship from China, but I found all the options do right now. I also found that this part is pretty common among mini split parts and can be found in other systems. That means this part is not going away anytime soon. Thank you supplier for providing this part and saving my AC from becoming another piece of e-waste.

The old motor ran OK but had developed a high pitched sound. After replacing it using a youtube video as a guide the A/C unit is working like new. The best $45 I've spent in a long time.

My motor on a new Midea 12Kbtu failed after only 1 year of light use. I was relaxing nearby when I heard the fan revving up one afternoon and then it sounded like a jet engine getting faster and faster and before I could get to the switch to turn it off, the unit powered off and I got the error code for motor failure (you can look them up online and sorry I already forgot). I plugged in the new motor and it would still do nothing, so (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT), I unplugged the unit from the wall and opened up the control box right in front of the condenser fan in the outdoor portion of the unit. I located where the cord leading to the fan was plugged in and right next to the connector I saw and ultra-small 3.1A fuse. Making sure that the fan was unplugged (either inside the A/C where the fan is mounted (which may be easier_ because the red locking clip is not holding the connector like it is on the board), once the fan is unplugged and ensuring the control unit is also not plugged in the wall, measuring that small white ceramic fuse with an ohm meter showed I was an open circuit. So rather than butcher the circuit board, I just ordered another 3.1A slow-blow ceramic from Amazon that was a little larger (size doesn't matter - only that it is rated 3.1A slow blow ceramic) and I after slightly sanding the silver leads coming out of the board's fuse, I simply soldered the new fuse leads (after also sanding) right on top of the blown fuse. I secured everything, re-protecting the exposed components, powered up the unit and all ran fine. (I have a FB "Midea U-Shape AC - Tech Talk & Tips" with photos)
