The toilet is probably 20 yrs old and the linkage for the handle was worn out and would get stuck. Bought this one and it matches the old one in color, fit and function. Thanks!

Part came in OEM American Standard bag and looks exactly like the part I replaced. It is a poor design because it side loads plastic parts, but that's just the way the tank is designed.

The handle works perfectly wish the seller had More opinions in color because most toilets are white

This product was a perfect fit. We tried three other brands and finally found ont that fit our tank perfectly. American Standard 02T 4112.

My American Standard toilets have been surprisingly reliable with the exception of these cheap flush handles. I have replaced two so far. As others have said, it really should be made of metal, not cheap plastic that cracks over time. It wouldn't be so bad if they charged a reasonable price, but you will have to pay a ridiculous amount to deal with their design flaw. And to add further insult, the replacement is more flimsy than the original. The knob wobbles. But if you want to repair your toilet, you really have no other choice.

We bought our home new 20 years ago, with American Standard toilets (this is relevant, I promise). One of the bathrooms gets substantially more use simply by nature of where it is, probably 6-8x more traffic. It's the one downstairs and just gets used more. The original trip lever broke after about 8-10 years and I've been replacing it with a big box store replacement every 8-10 months since. Different brands, all pretty much garbage. The OEM replacement has lasted just shy of 3 years (so far) with zero issues. It costs more than the "cheaper" replacement, but the quality far surpasses the junk at the hardware store.Just using the 3 years we've had the OEM back in the toilet we've broken even...and I don't have to replace it constantly.4 x $5.98 = $23.90vs1 x $23.30 = $23.30Simple enough that I can make the math work!Don't waste time on the Fluidmaster or other "cheaper" replacement parts...this one is worth buying from the manufacturer.

It’s insane that a $2 plastic item costs this much. It’s an easy install and looks ok (not completely flush on the outside of our American Standard tank), but I shake my head every time I’m in the bathroom and see this thing. Flushing money down the toilet!

Had to purchase this as the original one on the toilet had broken. I'm not a fan of it being made all of plastic as its not very strong. But the item was exactly as described, came quick and works as designed.

Easy to install but seems really expensive for a plastic item like this. However, hard to find this particular one in our local stores.

The exact part I needed. Not some universal version that either doesn't work or needs to be modified to fit
