I am by no means a professional groomer but my bestfriend is and unfortunately she moved away. So For the last year I bought cheap pairs of clippers and borrowed $500 clippers from another friend. These by far out rank them all! They aren't the quietest clippers but definitely are the loudest either. My mini horse normally gets antsy when I clip her but she stood still and didn't move a muscle with these! The blade never got too hot for her for me to need to change out the blade but I have seen my friend use them and need to switch and she makes it look so easy and quick with these clippers! We'll worth the money!

I have a double doodle who costs 150 every groomer visit. I decided to try to groom her myself. This was my first try and I was quite impressed. The clippers went through her thick curly hair with ease.One important thing to know: the blades get really hot. This is totally normal, but you have to stop and cool them or they burn the dog. You will know when they get hot because the dog will be very uncooperative. I didn’t realize that at first and thought she was just tired of me cutting her. I bought the Andis cooling and sanitizing spray (aerosol can) and it is wonderful. It also smells great.Don’t be afraid to try grooming your dog at home (as long as the dog doesn’t turn devil dog on you that is!).I’ve cut her 2 more times since and am getting better each time. She may never need to go to the groomers again.

by the time I realized this It was too late to return.... Help please.SusanThe clippers ran very hot from he moment they turned on and then the clipper blade flipped up if encountered any resistance. Therefore they need to go back.

Been clipping horses for over 50 years and bought first Andis about 12 years ago after trying other top rated clippers. This is second purchase for these exact same clippers. Wore out old ones on large TB mare, walking horse and impossible to clip properly without these, mini donkey. Love the wide blade, ease of cleaning and durability. Only brand out there for me now!
