We installed the two birds to work in a stream that runs along our patio. We had to return one bird as it was cracked. The hose that comes with the birds are easily crinked and the flow is cut off. We had to buy new connectors to make them work and a large enough pump to power both birds. Our installer had to put together a valve mechinism to adjust flow. It ended up taking most of the day not counting the time to shop for parts and additional hose.

Wrongly I assumed that as it stated a half inch hose hookup my output wouldn't be too bad going down from my previous 3/4 inch. However deep within the Heron it downsizes to 1/4" tubing and thus even with a 750gph pump it looks like the Heron has a prostate issue. Very disappointing for me but for those looking for a true spitter this is quite decorative and should last many years.
