Bought at the end of September 2024 to use for the pool cover over winter. Covered pool first of November it rained middle of November so I put the pump on the cover and it worked great the next few times I used it. Went to use it today 1/30/25 and it no longer works. And don’t see anyway to get any warranty out of it. Buy with caution.

My pool was overflowing for the past so the water got real dirty after the leaves fell into the pool cover. My pool cleaner recommended me to buy a pump to keep the water under the cover so I searched around and found this one. It worked great so far and it’s cheaper than the one she tried to sell to me. Love it

I'd gotten another pool cover pump at the beginning of the (off) season last year, but the dumb thing died before it was even time to open the pool again. This pump lasted the rest of that season and all of this one. On top of that, this one has a much higher flow rate than the anemic output of the previous one.Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a pump that gets the job done without breaking the bank!

An update: it has been a little more than 3 months and the pump just died. I took it apart and tried to fix it, but the problem is with the engine inside a close system. I need a new one. This pump has been working 2 months now on my pool cover. I do have two of the much more expensive Wayne pumps for 7 years now (they do work well, though I did have to disassemble and clean the inside twice so far when they stopped working). The advantage of this pump is the price and the fact that it is narrow (low height) . So far it has been working as well as the Wayne. Being narrow helps to slide it sideways into my pool cover box and drain it when my pvc box pipes gets clogged. It also solves another issue I have with the pool cover; the cover wheel has excess of material and it goes down and fills with water (inside the box) when it is downpouring. This pump is narrow enough to get into this narrow gap and drain most of the rain water, enough to allow the cover motor to work safely. The net is a great idea and prevents the leaves from clogging the pump. Works better than the Wayne’s strainer base filter.

I’ve been using a small very mediocre pump to pump off my pool cover in the spring for years. It always took days since I usually have at least a foot and a half of water in an 18x36 pool, not to mention a lot of leaves & when area was dry it sucked air & didn’t shut off. I put this one in for a few hours for a couple of days just to be sure it was working & shut off when area was dry. I even put it in a bunch of leaves where there was about an inch of water left. It worked great even in the leaves because of the net around the bottom. No debris was sucked in & it turns off when dry. I’m very happy with this pump & highly recommend it.

Ordered last month around mid Dec. 2024 and used it right away. I was excited because it did work. The second time I used within 3 weeks I noticed that it stop working. Tried to unhooked the hose, open the vent and see if their is a debris inside and checked all the plugs make sure they are plugged in. Nope, it didn't work anymore. Sorry, not a good product.

The tongue is lighter than I thought. Also, it is very powerful and easy to use. By the way, is good for the water on the pool cover
