This is my 2nd pump of this type. This one looks identical during purchase. However looks can be deceiving!!! The drain hose a power cord are approximately 2 feet SHORTER. The suction is slow to none!!! This one has to be positioned exactly upright ( which is difficult since it’s 6 feet in front of me). It stops suction even emerged in water. I didn’t need to use it until after the return deadline so I’m stuck. Check into other manufacturers for sure!!

I’m trying to drain about 1.5 inches of an above ground pool and it runs for about 10 minutes at a time. Seems like it gets hot and turns off.

We have an above ground pool and got a new winter cover for it. We closed our pool for the season and realized that the new cover was holding water on top. My husband tried siphoning with just a hose - not an easy task! Amazon to the rescue once again! I ordered this and it made life so much easier. It’s just tiny, but it is quite powerful. We had about 4 inches of water in places and it drained it down in no time. The longer cord made it easy to move it around from place to place. I would definitely recommend! And so would my husband!

I got this for my girlfriends hot tub which didn't have an accessible drain. The tub is about 500 gallons and this drained it in about 30 minutes which is on point with the claim from the manufacturer. Once submerged, its super quiet and works efficiently. It also drained the lowest point down to about 1/2" so there wasn't much left to sponge out.I needed the 16ft power cable too - so glad they didn't skimp and provided ample cord.I used the steel fitting to attach a hose and it was up and running in minutes from arrival - love it!
