I brought a new rod for bass fishing. Used the rod and caught a few fish quickly. On the way home I accidently snapped the tip off the pole by rolling up my car window. I purchased a new pole, but I held on to the broken one thinking that I would cut it down to the next eyelet and use in desperation or maybe bottom fishing for trout. I saw this kit and it saved my pole. It took only minutes to repair, saved the length of the pole and it still casts like it did when I first bought it. Under $10 to repair the pole plus there are extra tips for different sized poles. There is a possibility to repair 10 poles for under a dollar each. This was one good bargain if you ask me. There were many to choose from and this is the one I chose. Case was compact so you could carry it with your gear in case the need arises while on the water. It'll have you up and running in minutes and your day/trip will not be wasted because of a broken tip or eyelet.

Must have for Your tackle box, you never know when you may need to repair a broken rod tip and it can be done on the spot.

The curing light is cheap and takes a long time to cure the glue. Also suggest a warm environment to help.

The light thing/glue is a hoax. Gave it three days to cure after spending a lot of time with the stupid light waiting for it to do its thing. I’d really like my money back?!

I tore the center ring out of the rod tip guide while fishing and needed to replace it. Ordered this and it was just what I needed. The kit is complete with tip guides, hot stick glue, resin, and UV light, and comes in a hard plastic box to keep the contents safe. Easy to use; the only hard part about the repair was getting the broken tip guide off the rod. Ended up cutting off the guide, sized the rod for the new tip, melted the glue onto the rod and slid the new tip on. I let it cool for a bit then applied the resin and used the UV light to harden it. Rod was ready for the next trip. I now keep the kit on the boat, along with some larger tips that I ordered for my salmon gear. Great item to have.
