I ordered these handles because I thought they were cork composite. It specifically states “not the cheap quality foam covered cork†or something to that effect. I cut the bottom end of the cork handle off so I could determine if this handle would be suitable for the custom fishing rod build I am working on. What I discovered is this rod handle is cork veneer over foam. Product is not what is advertised. Because I am being honest in my review of this product and it is not a favorable review for the product, Amazon will most likely reject my posting of this product review. Product is not what is advertised. I do not recommend this product if you want a quality cork or cork composite grip for your custom build.When I first got the rod grips it made no sense why they glued the end cap on to the handle or why they put eva foam on both ends. It’s to cover up the cheap foam on the inside of the handle.Again this product is not what they are advertising on the listing page.They will work as a cheap handle on a fishing rod build but not on a quality custom build!

Was way smaller than I needed however it appears to be decent quality. I need to buy a way smaller rod blank (pan fish) to try them out.

I was very hesitant on getting this product because of the reviews. After purchasing and getting it all set on the blank. It’s really not bad. The cork and reel seat and on the lower end of things but with that being said it’s crazy lite weight and for a light or ultralight it would be great. That’s what this rod is, light to mid action for small bass and it really does feel balanced . Really decent little kit.

Description on item states that 2 sets are provided. However, that is not the case with mine. I have only received 1 set. I am missing another set.
