January 25, 2021. Monday. 2:15 p.m.I have taken a few belly dance classes for exercise and fun. I later learned to use the finger cymbals as well to add to my belly dance exercise routine. These finger cymbals are light to medium in weight and the sound is "ting-ting" instead of the sound of clappers and dull. I liked the intricate design of the metal work as well. I have been dancing since January 2008, after taking a break for 2 1/2 years I began lessons with a new instructor. I have a few brands of zills, the Saroyan Nefertiti, a pair of Ziljins,basic brass beginner zills, mini silver plated copper zills, my 2" Wooden Coat Button Zills, and these fabulous beauties. These Zills have a beautiful crisp sound and they are so fabulous for small hands.

So happy with these! The last zills I bought had a much larger elastic loop, so I needed to safety pin the loop on all four to stay in place on my very thin fingers and the elastic wore out after a year of intermittent use. These stay in place on my thumbs; I’ll still need to pin for my third finger but I’m hopeful that the elastic may last longer. They also have a pleasant ringing tone, and the accompanying bag is cute with a reinforced bottom. A step up from the bottom. My next purchase will probably be a pair of Saroyans, but at least these will work nicely in the interim!

The elastic is for thick fingers and of low quality and it's taped at the ends, so you have to cut it rather than readjust it and there is not enough.
